I so love classic movies, the idea of love in it, is just so pure. :> hmmm Knight in Shining Armor? Ever watch Sex and the City and get inspiration? Yeah…me too. So, everyone wants to be saved. Not everyone wants to admit it, but we do, male or female. All my life, I read about true love and fairy tales. The white prince, dark castles, knight in shining armor, white horse and all. The thought that someone out there who 's gonna save you, it is just so romantic. Well for me it is, i love fairy tales, every night when i was a little girl i remember my mom reading every single fairy tale that there is to me and to my sister. So it kinda drilled into my mind. It taught me something, that every girl is a princess whether you're a pauper, a slave, a 100-years sleeping girl or whatever, someone out there will save you... for the love of love.



Why are relationships held up so highly in our society? Why does having a boyfriend or girlfriend make you any ‘better’? Suddenly, once you are in a relationship, it is like you have reached this new standard, this new higher class of ‘in a relationship people’. But are they really any different? We are still the same people….just with a boyfriend or girlfriend. Then why are people envious? or a bit cynical with people who are in a relationship?

Because they found something that everyone wants. They were saved. They found love. And yeah, you might not fall in love with the person you are with, but that really isn’t the point is it? You don’t look at someone and think ‘I want to fall in love with you!’. You want someone to hold, to take to the movies, to snuggle under the blankets with, and maybe you will fall in love in the meantime.

And I know there are gonna be people who are like ‘I don’t need a man!’ or ‘I don’t need a girl!’ But….you can’t say you don’t want one. That it wouldn’t be nice. Sometimes we don’t want to admit that we need saving. That we need someone else. But sometimes we do.

But you cant expect prince charming or your knight in shining armor to come, sweep you off your feet, and save you in the most romantic way. No. You have to do that for yourself. Be strong for yourself. Be tough and stand up to others on your own. Build your independence before you start to rely on someone else. Being too dependant is a disaster waiting to happen. Maybe someone will come along eventually, sweep you off your feet, and save you from the stereotypical man. But how long can that really last? It’s all mindset. Maybe one day he’ll be perfect enough for you. Even with his imperfections. But until then, you have to stand up for yourself. Until theres no doubt in your mind that he’ll change or leave. Until you know you're in love with the man who will love you back equally and maybe more for all time.

P.S I know that sometimes we already thought that this guy is our knight in shining armor but turns out he's a loser in aluminum foil. So you have to be wise!, don't be fooled with all the sweet words let their actions speak what they true motive is. It will save you a lot of heartaches. :)
