Long-Distance.

Long distance relationships sucks. And I don’t mean they suck in the sense of, “avoid at all costs because they’re simply no good all together.” They suck more in the sense of, “they’re a lot harder than nearly any other type of relationship.” They’re not for the weak hearted, or the unprepared.
A lot of the people I know around me were fortunate enough to have enjoyed relationships with someone who lived near to their place. Last week I'm talking to some of my friends who were in a long-distance relationships, I really admire them for sticking to it. I could not imagine how I would’ve managed having like that all the way in socal, or across to the eastern seaboard, or in a different continent all together. That kind of relationship must be difficult beyond what I can imagine.

A lot of people kinda look down to those in a long distance relationship, as though the love they’re trying to share isn't legitimate because the intimacy is rarely, or not often shared in person. This is a popular consensus, mainly because the fail rate of a long distance relationship is significantly higher. The key reason here is not being able to see your love as often as you like, and not because they’re busy but because they’re so far away, making it a lot more difficult to maintain. But the few times you do get to see them, it’s so much more intense because you know 'that' time is much more precious. They’re as valid as any relationship, just as beautiful.
Anyways, I think long-distance relationships are beautiful, and you’re probably thinking, “Why?” Well, it’s because long-distance relationships really show a couple’s devotion and love for each other. If you think about it, the more the two of you stick through the relationship, the stronger your love for each other is.
I have this girl-friend who is in a relationship. They are both inlove but unfortunately away from each other by continents. But you know what i actually think that they have a more stronger relationship than those couples who sees each other everyday. I mean their only lifeline is through facebook, email and skype, but still they're able to work things out. I really admired her and his boyfriend which i also knew when i was in the U.S., for not minding the distance that separates them. The main ingredient is really the love that they have for each other added with efforts to communicate. :">
Reality based, Teenagers, more so younger people in general, find it hard to stick to a long-distance relationship because of the distance, basically. The distance throws people off (off track and such). The first fear that crosses their mind is “Because of the distance, will (s)he cheat on me?” and that creates worrisome thoughts. Just that thought alone can convince someone to break up with the other because they’re convinced that their lover will cheat on them.
Older people can handle long-distance relationships a lot better because, well, I think they have a better grip on life. The knowledge of knowing that you could see your loved one whenever you wanted (if necessary) keeps the relationship going. Being reassured that you have possible ways to see your loved ones is very relieving.
Missing someone gets easier every day because even though you are one day further from the last time you saw them, you are one day closer to the next time you will.
The point of a long-distance relationship is knowing that you’ll see the one you love AGAIN! If you know that you never will, then why even be in that relationship? That’s not the point. One has to be quite optimistic and a positive thinker to be so committed in a tough relationship. Whoever has successfully gone through with a long-distance relationship I really admire you.
